More than being an extention of the museum, the new construction became the threshold, the entrance door of the museum. The old front door which was replaced by this new way of entering, put the garden and the workshops in the foreground, attracting visitors in the museum. The project makes the transition between the street and the garden separated by a 250cm height. The volume of the construction is surrounding the entrance way, marking the limits of the plot. A very sober facade of a smooth materiality complete the massive effect of this cube looking like a little fortress.

Two accesses link the garden to an exhibition loop situated on the second floor. Two other accesses reserved for the Workshop and the Housing are accessible from the street level (first floor). This allows a separation between public functions and privates ones.
